M14 CLASSICAL MUSIC UNVEILED, A JOURNEY THROUGH GENRES AND ERAS

Join us for an enlightening journey through the rich tapestry of classical music, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary compositions. This course offers attendees an exploration of various genres, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic and the Modern eras. Through guided listening sessions engaging discussions and multimedia resources, participants will deepen their understanding of historical context, key composers and stylistic elements. By examining the evolution of musical forms and expressions, attendees will broaden their appreciation for classical music's influence on culture and society.
Venue: 97 Creek St
Monday 9.30am - 11.00am. Classes start 14 July, finish 15 September.
Cost: $50 (prepaid), 10 weeks

About the Tutor:

Barbara LevienBarbara has taught music at high school for 25 years engendering a love of classical repertoire in many of her students. She is particularly interested in Early Music of the Baroque period and in contemporary choral and instrumental music. Since leaving full time teaching Barbara has become a presenter on 4MBS 103.7 Classic FM.
