Amid fears, problems, we seek hope, solutions, via politics, economics, to: worsening Climate and Environment; Inflation, Austerity, Preparing for War; Terrorism (Bondi), "Hate Crimes"; "Dictator" Trump's ICE; U.S. vs World (tariffs,etc); Democracy in decay: Political Fragmentation; Money Politics, growing Inequality here, in US. UK, etc; other Dangers: Health: COVID, flu etc; Technology (AI), Education (public vs private schools; uni. crisis); Conflicts: Israel, U.S./Gaza,Iran etc; Ukraine (EU vs Russia); and Social Divisions (rich vs rest, women's position, crushing dissent, media bias, racism, bigotry).

Wednesday 9.30am - 11.00am. Classes started 28 January, finish 1 April.
Cost: $50 (prepaid), 10 weeks

In economic thought we look at the key ideas of economic thinkers & how these still shape our world: Classical Liberals Adam Smith & David Ricardo; Revolutionary Socialist & Communist Karl Marx; Interventionist John Maynard Keynes; & Neoliberals Friedrich Hayek & Milton Friedman.
