Explore Greek philosophy over two terms from the pre-Socratics to the Stoics (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and later schools like the Cynics, Epicureans, Sceptics and Stoics.) Sessions show how ancient ideas still guide choice, meaning, and self-understanding today. "Know yourself" is central as we connect wisdom to everyday life. We use clear slides, images, and cartoons, plus small breakout chats. Join lightly or dive in - there's time to socialize, share ideas, and grow together online.

Life's big questions are better explored together. Expand your thinking, share ideas, and connect with curious minds in this relaxed Zoom class. We email discussion questions before each session-prepare a lot or a little-reading in class is optional; just arrive with an open mind. This is a foundational series for anyone interested in the History of Western thought. Arrive 15 minutes early to connect, enjoy a short cuppa break, and share a few laughs with content-related cartoons. Classes may run to 4pm if discussions are lively, but you can leave when you need to. We provide post-session PDFs. This is flexible, inclusive, supportive learning for all. New and returning members are warmly welcomed. This course continues into Term 2.
