Tutor: Judith Keller
This series explores a selection of Judith Wright's poetry through the lens of her ecological awareness. We will explore Wright's poetics of place and consider how her lyricism and insight challenge human centred narratives and invite us as readers to attend closely to the quiet revelations of seeds, soil, trees, birds, animals, insects, rivers, rock, seasons and stars. The emphasis is on reading poetry aloud and on discussion. Two poems will be emailed each session, one of which will be the focus of a longer reflection offered by the tutor, or a participant. No prior study of Judith Wright's poetry is necessary.
