U01 Neuropsychology and our functioning Mind     NEW

Tutor: Richard Wall
This new course presents a taste of both individual and social aspects of our mind as revealed by neuroscience. Whilst brain function ultimately determines our behaviour, early relationships are a vital prerequisite to developing some initial structural brain pathways that determine our overall mental health, until biological ageing occurs. My previous course explored the mind as a process that creates a SELF. This diverse yet short introduction explores ageing and dementia, mental illness, counselling & hypnosis, sleep, pain, placebo, persuasion, happiness, grief, beauty and art! Psychology is becoming neuropsychology.

Wednesday 9.15am - 10.45am. Classes started 15 July, finish 16 September.
Cost: $45 (prepaid), 9 weeks
