Windows 10 will be unsupported in October, and even more hardware changes have Windows 11 making faster changes and speeding up the redundancy of older computers. Linux is a free operating system and it will run on the older hardware so no need to buy new computers. Windows 12 is now looking like a reality (may not be that name) but it is yet another step to faster redundant hardware. Use your existing hardware get a free Operating System that will let most users to just load and do what they need.

While Linux is different and can be a learning curve; for many users they can simply load it up and switch off thinking Microsoft, included is Libra Office that will do all the word processing, presentation and spread sheeting you want. Again entirely free and no high-priced yearly payment. There are a multitude of free applications for you to try out, as your fancy takes you. Want more power - it is there but you will need to do some learning.
