Tutor: Jocelyn Giordano
This is a semester unit looking in broad terms at what is meant by Art Deco. Started in the 20th century, it is an international style that can be applied not only to architecture but to many aspects of design, including cinemas, furniture, fashion, jewellery and household appliances. The course will cover examples of Art Deco in its various forms from overseas countries and those found in Australia and in Brisbane. This is NOT a repeat of Term 1 but a continuation looking at different topics such as Travel and Transport and Art Deco Asia.
