NOTE: There two spaces in the class for experienced players. Experienced players, please contact the tutor. If you enjoy the challenge of playing Western Mahjong in a relaxed setting, come and join us. All you need is a copy of 'The Mahjong Players Companion' by Patricia A. Thompson and Betty Maloney. We play for fun and don't score. With hands-on play at every session, players can practice and improve their skills. Beginners welcome only in the first term of each year. Terms 2, 3 and 4 is open to experienced players only.

Thursday 9.30am - 11.00am. Classes started 16 July, finish 17 September.
Cost: $50 (prepaid), 10 weeks
About the Tutor:
In U3A Melbourne, and now in Brisbane, I have led mahjong sessions and assisted people in learning to play this fantastic game. I read somewhere that “by blending strategy, memory, and real-time interaction, this centuries-old tile game actively stimulates the brain while fostering a strong sense of community”. I hope that this will be true for all the people who join this class.
