Once a month, we get on public transport to explore our adventure, visit beautiful parklands, museums, art galleries, go to the old town, and popular seaside suburbs. It will contain 4 to 6 kms walk and getting in and out of public transport, by bus, train, or ferry. There is lunch or coffee with the group before heading back home. Bring your Go Card, the concession card, a sunhat, good walking shoes, and a small bottle of water. Dress code - comfy/smart. Members will receive the travel details of places and time via a group email approximately 7 days before our outing day. "Big welcome to Affordable Adventure".

The Affordable Adventure Group is all about growing old and living actively. The group will explore the beauty of our city and embrace the joy of freedom without driving a car. We travel far and wide by using the Queensland Government's 50-cent public transport. The affordable adventure journey will go by train, bus, or ferry to and from our amazing places.
Once a month, we get together and share the adventure, making connections with like-minded people build the bonds of a long-term friendship.
About the Tutor:
Dormei Leung originally from Hong Kong lives most of her life in Brisbane since 1973. She discovered her passion in walking at her young age of 14 if not 13 years old while Hong Kong was badly polluted and TB was a commonly known illness affecting many Hong Kong citizens. The adventure Group was created from my passion to live life to the fullest, even as we grow older and drive less. With the Queensland Government's 50-cent public transport incentive, we can travel far and wide, embrace the joy of freedom, and share new adventures together- while making wonderful connections with like-minded friends.If you are a U3A Brisbane member you may enrol in this class online using the Enrol button below.
