Interested in How the Brain Processes Language?
Institution: The University of Queensland
Request Received: May 2017
The aim of this study is to investigate how stroke patients with communication impairment recover language function. The researchers want to determine the best predictors of language improvement and treatment response in the critical phases of brain recovery. They are seeking healthy male and female participants over 55 years of age who are right handed, have English as a primary language, have no history of neurological disease, mental illness, or head trauma, nor have any metals present in the body which would be unsafe in an MRI scanner.
